Lions Club of San Leandro History

The Lions Club of San Leandro began serving the community May 30, 1936. Instrumental in founding the Alameda Contra Costa Lions Blind Center, which provides programs to for the visually and hearing impaired through Deaf & Blind Workshops. Through programs like Adopt-a-Family and Adopt-a-School, we directly serve the community of San Leandro. Honored with a rich heritage of serving, the Lions Club of San Leandro is always ready to help those in need. Lionism allows its members to use their knowledge, time and energy to serve the local community and be part of the largest service organization of its kind in the world.
